We spent a great deal of time researching which type of sauna we wanted and who to purchase it from. We had lots of questions at the outset and Callum at Scottish Saunas was happy to help navigate us through that minefield! We wanted an outdoor sauna with a powerful enough, yet energy efficient heater to heat quickly to temperature which for us is about 85-87 degrees which we could activate by smart phone app. We chose the patio XXS, a 2-man sauna with 9KW HUUM Drop UKU Wi-Fi controlled electric heater. We paid for the sauna to be delivered and constructed on site. The team arrived when they said they would and we are delighted with the final product. It is positioned on a wooden platform in our garden overlooking a beautiful view. The sauna itself is designed as a 2 man but is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate 3 people. The heater, thermometer and LED lights are activated by a simple App (which Callum talked s through how to install). It takes about 40 mins on a cold winter morning, to heat from zero to 85degres. It’s well made from robust and quality materials. We also have the sauna oils burner which is lovely as you can add essential oils to refueled your mood. Super easy to clean and maintain. The whole family loves using it. Super, honest, professional and reliable company to deal with in our experience. We ordered a Sauna from Calum at Scottish saunas at the showroom in Glenrothes where they had the sauna we wanted on display. The guys were super helpful from ordering to installation and always answered my questions while getting used to using the woodburner. We use the sauna at least 3 times per week and couldn’t do without out it. Sauna has been up and running for a few weeks now and it’s been very popular with all the family. It was a good experience from the start and I took the option of self build which I thoroughly enjoyed. I knew I had Calum and Scottish Saunas at the end of the phone should I have any problems. My son and I emptied the trailer containing the contents of the sauna, unknown to me he had placed the 3 packs of roofing tiles in the poly tunnel then covered them with other material, consequently I couldn’t see them and thought they were missing from the order. I contacted Calum who was a bit surprised the materials were missing but he told me that another order was being delivered about 15 miles from me and that he would have them bring some tiles to me. I thought that was great service, thankfully I located my materials and contacted Calum with the good news. Problem solved but a great response from Calum. As I said the sauna has been used almost daily and given the quality of the materials I’m sure it will give us plenty of use for years.
